A 1930’s cloth banner used to advertise afternoon showings at an early movie palace, La Jolla’s Granada Theatre, is taken on a series of preposterous and transgressive adventures — picnicking, swimming, dancing, and drinking — giving it a further, unorthodox, public life before its ultimate donation to the La Jolla Historical Society’s archive.
