Convenient eclipses and romantic thunderstorms make meaning out of plot-less climate. One of a series of works (along with Dream Sequence,” “Slap Slap Kiss,” and “Spit Take!”) that use the form of traditional barroom beer signs to advertise film tropes that guide, form and/or deform our understandings of our lived experiences.

Our deep, and often unconscious, familiarity with plot devices performs an equivocal magic on actual time and space, rendering everyday places cinematic, or re-framing our understandings of our relationships, for both better and worse.
